In the NYC area? Join us March 31st at Cathedral of St. John the Divine for The Value of Food: Evening of Witness. Visitors to this evening of food and art will get the opportunity to explore the exhibition and speak with guides about each individual art piece.
The organizers have also put together a program of presenters and performers, including: musician David Amram; Greg Asbed and Lucas Benitez, Co-founders of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers; Bill Ayers, Founder of WhyHunger; Gio Edwards, Youthmarket farm stand organizer; Wenonah Hauter, Founder and Executive Director of Food and Water Watch; poet and storyteller Kewulay Kamara with musicians of West Africa; author and activist Raj Patel; and Elizabeth Ryan, Owner and Manager of Stone Ridge Orchards. Attendants will have the opportunity to interact with these presenters about the future of food.
