New Crop Capital and The Good Food Institute

Both New Crop Capital (NCC) and The Good Food Institute (GFI) are focused on solving two of the world’s biggest problems—how the world will feed 9 billion people by 2050 and how governments meet their climate change obligations under the Paris Agreement, signed in April 2016.

NCC and GFI are convinced that both goals will require a new way of thinking about food that focuses on plant-based and cultured technologies that are more efficient and that cause significantly less CO2 equivalent per calorie produced. Toward that end, NCC invests in—and GFI supports—food technology that is focused on transforming the global food sector for the better.
