Donna is passionate about local and organic food and “changing the way we eat.” She is an active connector in the food movement while working for a women’s rights activist, writer and humanitarian. She is a member of Columbia University’s Sustainable Committee and The New York Junior League. Over the past five years, Donna has organized food related events for them, ABC Home and Le Pain Quotidien on topics that include GMO Labeling, Food and Tech, Sustainable Communities, Food Is Medicine, and The Connection Between Food and Climate Change.
Donna is a native New Yorker and lives in New York City with her husband Bharat Chopra and their two dogs Bella and Karma. They frequent sustainable restaurants, Central Park, the farmers markets, and their community food composting garden. In their time off they love traveling to off-the-beaten-path locations and exploring other cities’ local food communities.
