Kristen is a high-level thinker and strategist, incorporating whole-systems thinking in her approach to organizational leadership. With twenty-five years in nonprofit management, as well as numerous entrepreneurial ventures, she has led organizations and teams toward unprecedented growth and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Through her industry consulting experience, as an executive chef and local foods magazine publisher, she has introduced and led many influential conversations toward public perception around food policy, with individuals, organizations and legislative change-makers. As an innovating and moving force both locally and nationally, she is a true community connector creating lasting partnerships, with a commitment to the triple bottom line.
Most recently working as the executive director for Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, she has realized that now, more than ever, is the moment to build collaborations to support women and their roles as leaders in the future of food – propelling each other forward and creating impactful change across the landscape.
She currently serves on the Mississippi Market Natural Foods Co-op board of directors in St. Paul, Minnesota and was named to the Nation’s Restaurant News, Power List 2019: The 50 most influential people in foodservice.
She is an advocate for real food, authentic people and human connections.
