Frieda is the creator of Slippery Slope Farm, a case study rooftop microfarm that advances modern urban farming practices located in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Recently she burst out of a magical baby bubble with her daughter Blaze into the greenscaping world of sub-irrigated nutrient dense urban farming. It was in her nesting years that she came into developing her microfarm out of her personal love of fresh organically grown food that she could share with her family and friends. Her key approach is utilizing sustainable methods that can optimize the quality and nutritional value of food as we are what we eat. Frieda is an interdisciplinary designer of gardens and green products, events, food, interiors, home furnishings, clothing, miscellaneous whim. She is the creator of the onstage TEDx logo for the 2012 TEDxManhattan event.
