Jonathan Cetnarski is the President & CEO of NYC’s Natural Gourmet Institute. He is a transformational executive who aims to redefine the culinary school experience for the 21st century. He is passionate about ensuring food security for a growing global population, and advocates for the return of traditional foodways, sustainable farming practices, and humane treatment of animals and food producers. Jonathan is committed to providing all students with an optimal learning experience and helping them enter the food industry with NGI’s high standard of health-focused cooking at the core of their culinary perspectives.
Jonathan has over 25 years of experience creating innovative, high performing businesses in both the private and corporate sectors which included retail, payments, telecommunications and big data. He is passionate about being socially and environmentally responsible, and advocates and volunteers for various non-profit organizations. He is an occasional guest lecturer on Design Thinking Principles and serves as a mentor for young entrepreneurs.
About Natural Gourmet Institute: Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts has been the leader in professional health-focused culinary education since 1977. Offered both full- and part-time, their Chef’s Training Program is where you will learn essential cooking techniques, principles of nutrition, methods for sustainable ingredient sourcing and culinary business practices. The curriculum is mostly focused on plant-based whole foods, with further instruction available in sustainable seafood and poultry. Licensed by the New York State Department of Education, it is the first culinary program dedicated to healthful cooking to be accredited nationally.
