Severine is director of Greenhorns a grassroots organization with a mission to support, promote and recruit new farmers in America, now in its 7th year. Greenhorns produces film, radio, books posters and community events welcoming new entrants to sustainable agriculture. Severine is also co-founder and organizer for Farm Hack, a community and online-platform for appropriate, and open-source farm technologies. Severine lives in the Champlain Valley where she is partner in Grange Co-Packers, processing pickles, sauces and jellies from local farms, and selling those products downriver with the Vermont Sail Freight Project. She grows and dries organic culinary herbs, is on the board of Schumacher Center for New Economics, where she runs Agrarian Trust, a new initiative working on Land access issues.
