My vision for the food system is that I think everybody should grow all their own food in their own home. Well, that’s not going to happen. I know that. But I think that if they pay attention, and they demand that food be raised responsibly, that we can have – at least on the meat and poultry side – products that are raised without antibiotics, that are raised without added hormones, that treat the animal with dignity, that treat the person raising it with dignity, so that they earn a living wage. That’s possible! It is possible. But we’re going to have to demand it, and we’re going to have to be willing to pay just a bit more. Not as much as the big agro guys say we’re going to have to pay. But we will have to pay a bit more – and that’s not such a bad thing.
